I have the honour to report that the Native Affairs Committee held its final meeting to-day (Ist March)' The Committee, consisting of fourteen members, held twelve meetings during the session, the average attendance at each meeting being eight. Including thirty-five petitions brought forward from 1931, the Committee had before it sixtynine petitions. Forty-six were reported on, and twenty-three are held over. The Native Land Amendment Bill and the Napier Harbour Board Empowering Bill were duly considered and reported on.
