Sib,— I have the honor, by direction of the Colonial Treasurer, to instruct you to pay to the Provincial Treasurer the sum of Twelve hundred and fifty pounds, being the amount due from the Province of Hawke's Bay on account of interest on the Wellington Provincial Debt for the halfyear ending 30th June, 1863. Sib,— I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 2nd instant, and in reply, to inform your Honor that the Sub-Treasurer at Wellington has been instructed to pay to the Provincial Treasurer the sum of Twelve hundred and fifty pounds, due from the Province of Hawke's Bay on account of interest on the Permanent Debt of the Province of Wellington. I have, &c, Readee Wood, In the abseuee of Mr. Domett. His Honor the Superintendent, Wellington.

Sib, — I have the honor to transmit to you herewith the enclosed copy of a letter from His Honor the Superintendent of Wellington, and of my reply thereto, respecting the sum of Twelve hundred and fifty pounds, due from the Province of Hawke's Bay on account of interest on t he Permanent Debt of the Province of Wellington, and to inform your Honor that the Receiver of Land Revenue at Napier has been instructed to pay that sum to the Sub-Treasurer there.
