A STEP FORWARD.
We are pleased to notice that the Rill permitting women to be appointed Justices, has passed the Upper House, and only awaits the GovernorGeneral's signature to become law. The Act providing that the mother is to have equal rights of guardianship over her children, has been read a second time in the Low'er Hou^e.
