Monty Supports "Uncle Scrim" Idea

To the Editor Sir,-I must thank you for your kindness in giving me a space in printing my last letter in your magazine. My noni-de-plume is after a very great friend of mine, Mr. Robert Montgomery, of ‘Laihape. His occupation is conductor of the ‘Taihape Municipal Boys’ Band, Which is an excellent band indeed. He has got it to a very high standard in music, and I must say that it is worth the while to come up from Wellington and hear it, I enjoy listening to it, although IT am a good old 80. I take a great interest in it, and am a keen supporter, a thing which I am glad to take

part in. In support of L., A, Jones’s remarks on "Unele Serim" being a "Trattic Cop," I think jt would be a very good, idea, as I have often listened to him talking about, "I know something about you," traffic men, tramway .men, .and others on the "Friendly Road," and ones that are not on it doing and helping other people. And everybody, in my opinion, ig waiting for this "God Man" to come to Taihape, to give an address. Wishing your paper {he best of luck ‘n yeurs {0 come.-I am. etc.. .
