Would Noel Coward Like That Photo?

To the Editor Sir,-I should like to point out, as an ardent admirer of Mr. Noel Coward and hie compositions, that the photograph which you have published of him, twige to my knowledge, is far from and js, I am sure, quite unlike him. There is a delightful. photograph of him in the book "The Amazing Mr. Noel Coward." He is a composer and playwright of whom we may be justly proud, and I should be pleased to hear the record of "Cavalcade" in which he himself speaks, far moze often. His excellent speaking voice might be listened to with benefit by most of us, especially our: children, I would like to mention Mr. CG. B. Cochran’s own words, which may not be quite accurate as they are merely memorised from the radio :- "yen eight years ago there was the same note of acid satire combined with a catchy modernistic tune-Coward’s hallmark. Noel Coward is the greatest allround genius the English stage pos-sesses.""-I am, ete.,

CAVALCADE

Fordell.

4 (The photograph which we occasionally publish of Mr. Noel Coward has also appeared in the well-known volume, "Living Authors." In the case of this book the photograph was ecliosen for publication by Mr, Coward himself.-Dd.]
