Auckland Notes At the W.H.A. session the subject Will be, "W. H. Davies-the Tramp Poet," the speaker being the Rev. W. Jellie. A half-hour of the latest light recordings will precede a Shakespearean programme to be given by ‘J. M. Clark and his company. Mr. Clark will recite Robert Ingersoll’s famous appreciation of Shake speare. During the evening various scenes, both humorous and dramatic, will be acted. Mr, Clark will be supported by Althea Parker, Allan Me. Skimming, Gaston Mervale and HB. M. Newling.
From Wellington =x, HH next instalment of the Mluste Lovers’ Competition will be broadcast at 7.85 p.m, . A varied programme. of recordings has been selected. Christchurch Notes (THE Christchurch Salon Orchestra, under Francis Bate, will provide the evening programme. Dunedin Jottings T 7.40, Mr. W. F. Forrester, president of the Dunedin R.S.A., speaks about "Poppy Day." A programme of Russian musie will be broadcast in the evening. 4. All the most popular of the great Russian composers will be represented in the vocal and instrumental numbers, which will be given by local artists and by means of recordings, Gwenda Burt will sing four songs, including "The Red Sarafan" (by Whishaw), while the orchestral programme, given under the direction of Mon. B. L. de Rose, includes Tschaikowsky’s "Caprice Italienne," Rubinstein’s "Feranios" suite, and selections from Rimsky-Korsakoff, Rachmaninoff, and Moussorgsky..
