Hurd-Wood will give her next talk on "Helps for the Hard of Hearing." The 1YA Chamber Orchestra’s contributions to the programme this.evening will include von Blon’s "iebestraum," the "Wnfantine" suite, and the "Bohemian Girl" selection. The Har. monisers Quartet will sing a number of popular melodies. Wellington Jottings ME. A. QUINNELL will continue his talks on "The Star Myths of the Zodiac." The Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Band (couducted by Petty-Officer Baker), with assisting artists and re--cordings, will provide the evening programme. Molly Power, a very popular singer at band concerts in the city, will be lIfeard in contralto solos, A one-act play, "The Price of Coal," will be presented by Mr. Victor Lloyd and his company, On the programme is also another one act play, recorded by B.B.C. players, aS well as a humorous recording, "A Day in the Army."
Christchurch Features HE evening’s programme. will consist of recordings. The opening selection will be Offenbach’s bright medley, "Life in Paris." Squire’s Celeste Octet will play a number of famous folksongs of Britain, while the programme also includes a vaudeville turn, "The Merrymakers’ Carnival." At nine o’clock Mr. George Lawn, M.A., will give a talk on "The EKconomic Unity of Nations."
