This selection is a beautiful arrangement of the great opera of Wagner’s, and listeners who appreciate band music will enjoy hearing this selection which the Kaikorai Band has managed to procure for broadeasting purposes. Two other very interesting items being played by the band are a chromatic march, and "Dunedin City," 4 march by the conductor of the band. The chromatic march is a march written entirely in chromatic passages, and the effect, especally in contrary motion, is very fine, The other artists providing the remaining portion of the programme are Mrs. D. Carty (who excels in Scottish songs) and Miss Nellie Warren (who will present three new recitations), with Miss Helen Roy (mezzo-contralto). Mr. Martindale (baritone) will appear also this evening, and will sing, in addition to two other songs, Petrie’s famous "Roll On, Thou Deep and Dark Blue Ocean."
