"CAIRO" FROM 4YA From 2YA. A REVIEW of "Books-Grave and Gay" will be given by Mr. H. C. South this evening at 7.40. The concert programme will feature two plays by Mr. Victor Lloyd’s talented company, the first being W. W. Jacobs’s"famous dramatie play, "The Monkey’s Paw," and the second a comedy in one act, by Stanley Houghton. Both are admirably suited to the microphone, and will be produced by Mr. Victor 8. Lloyd, whose work as a producer is always sound. . The supporting items on the programme will include contralto solos by Miss Hilda Chudley and baritone solos by Max. Stanley Clements; two of his

ve numbers being of Polish origin, will be sung in that tongue. The instrumental portion of the programme will be provided by the 2YA.Orchestrina and Miss Glen Carty, pianiste. The Orchestrina will play the "Gluck Overture," Tschaikowsky’s "Petite Suite," Mozart’s "Minuet," and Rubinstein’s "Persian Suite." From 3YA. HE programme will be contributed by the Christchurch Municipal Band (conductor, Mr. J. Noble) and 8YA artists. The band’s programme will be varied and bright. The vocalists will be Miss Mame Burrows (a young singer who will be making her

first appearance in radio) and Mr. W. H. Inkster, singing "The Veteran’s Song," "Until" and "The Blue Dragoons." Miss Lily Kinsella will be heard in humour at the piano. A cornet solo, "Il Bacio," will be played by Bandsman Barsby and a trombone duet, "The Gliders," will be played by Bandsmen D. Kirk and D. Stribling. Further instrumental music will be supplied by the Christchurch Broadcasting Trio. From 4YA. N Monday evening "Cairo" will be featured.
