INGLEWOOD
(From an occasional correspondent.) Your travelling reporter in his notes from New Plymouth, in referring to the success of the recently . established convent, at Inglewood', omitted to state that the parochial school is in charge of the Sisters of the Missions. There are now over one hundred chi dren attending the school, although it has been openefl a little over a year. The Rev. Father McDenriott, C>SS.R., opened a mis- - sion- here om Sunday, February 24. The attendances during the week at the Masses and evening devotions were excellent, eliciting high eommendatdem from the missionary Fathers, who were delighted at the zeal and Sipirit of self-sacrifice shown "by the large numbers from 1 the country, who came long distances, some of them' nine and ten miles, to be present at the mission services morning and evening. - The Very Rev. Father Clune arrived on Friday an'd-* proceeded on Sunday morning to New Plymouth, where a mission was then opened. He .was joined by Rev. Father McDer-. motb at theconclution of the mission at Inglewood cm Sunday, March- 3. *- •
