WAIMATE

Sunday being the first Sunday of the month, there was exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from the 11 o'clock Mass until tJhc evening devotions. The Waimato Brass Band paid a surprise visit to their president, the Rev. P. Regnault, on Wednesday evening. i After p laying} a few selections on tine lawn, the Rev Father entertained them for half an hour. Before learving he presented them with a cheq/uo towards their contest expenses. The members of the Literary and Debating Society at their last two meetings were treated to lectures illustrated with limelight views by the Rev. Father Regnault. The first was ' A trip to Ireland,' and the second ' A trip* to 'Europe ' The members of the society contributed vocal and instrumental items during both lectures, and a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the rev. lecturer for his interesting and instructive entertainment.
