WEDDING BELLS
DOOL AN— FRANCIS. A pnetty wedding was celebrated at St. Joseph's Oatihedral on September 28, the contracting parties being Mr. J. K. Doolan and Muss Nellie Francis, second daughter of IM r . M. Francis, of this city. Ihe cerenyony was performed by Rev. Father Murphy. The btude was beautifully attired m white salk, with wreath and veil, and was attended by Miss Francis and Mi^s Kathleen liTaxlley as bridesmaids. Mr. J. Ryne, of Balclutha, acted as groomsman After the ceremony t/he wedding party drove to the residence of ithe 'b'rildo's father, where the wedding breaAfast was laid. Several toasts were proposed and responded ia by old friends of the family. The presents were hanidttome as weH ars numerous. BUKKY— KIRWAN. At th? Tilie bride's niece, Miss Eileen O'ComneJl, was bridesmaid, and Mr. D. O'Connell filled the position of best man. Mr. D. O'Connell proposed the health of the visitors. Ihe happy couple were the recipiemts of numerous and costly presents, including a purse of sovereigns given by the bride's father. Later on the newly wedded couple letti tor lnvercargill, where the honeymoon was spent.
