(From our own corres-pondent.) The I. A. Dramatic Club ha,s earned such an amount of popularity that demands for its service have been frequent. The club's orchestra rendered siome admirable selections. Club peUuims at tihe Blaft en Wednesday. The first anmial meeting of the Southland Athletic Association was heLd in Invercargill, and attended by delegates from all parts of Southland. r lhe Victoria League asked the association to sand over a delegate to the Melbourne conference next month, and it was decided to appoint Mr. J. E. Hawkins (Major) to a>;t. The lollowmg officers were elected .—President, Mr. W. Murdo'ck ; vice-presidents, Messrs. T. O'Byrne arid John McGregor ; auditor, Mr. T. P. Gilfedder ; secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. W. Woods. On the suggestion of Mr. M. O'Brien it was unanimously decided to. appoint Mr. George Mackley as delegate to the Orepuki sports' meeting, amd Mr. G. W. Woods to that at Gore.
