Addington Stock Market.
The entries at Addington consisted of 2200 fat sheep, 1650 fat lambs, 630 store sheep, 530 cattle, and 332 pigs. Fat Cattle — 210 head yarded, all of which were of good quality, and last week's prices were well upheld. Best steers brought L 9 10s to Ll 1 10s ; others, L 7 to L 8 ; heifers. L 5 2s 6d to L 8 10s ; beat cows, L 7 to L 9 ."is ; others, down to L 4 10*. Stohe Cattle — There were not many store cattle yarded, and the demand was less. There whs a good sale for good sorts of dairy cattle up to LS 10s. Fvr Shki-'I' — There was a mixed yarding, and most of them were shorn. All {iood Ports showed a risp of from Is to Is 6d per head. Wether* in wool brought 20<j 9d to 22s ; shorn, lf>s 9d to 22s (id and up to 3(>s for Mr Garforth's priz • Southdowns ; shorn ewes, 17s to l'Ja (H for best aud 13* ."id to K>s for others. Fat Lambs — Th< j be were mostly of good quality, and freezing buyers were very keen, over 1000 being taken for export. Sales were made at 13s (>d to Ids «id for ordinary and 17s 3d to 18s 7d for extra good ; unfinished down to lls S)d. Stohe Ewks — Only two lines of store ewes with lambs were penned, and thes^ sold at Hid and 12s Id, all counted. Pigs — The short entry of pigs caused a keen demand and a rise in prices. Bciconers fetched from 30s to 4^ Gd, or equal to 3jd per lb ; porkers, 2N to 325, or equal to 4d per lb ; stores, 13s to 20a ; suckera and weaners, ."»» 6 a to 12s 6d.
