a4 The Welsh Guards Regiment achieved distinction when on the 2nd of October, 1948, the freedom of the County Borough of Swansea was conferred upon it, and thereby the rights, privileges, honour and distinction of marching through the streets of the Borough on all ceremonial occasions with drums beating, bands playing, colours flying and bayonets fixed, This is the first time that a Regiment of the Brigade of Guards has been so honoured, At 5.30 3ZB will be presenting a selection of marches played by the Band of the Welsh Guards.
