I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, this petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry. 22nd October, 1912.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that the claims of the petitioner, in so far as the Waikato lands are concerned, be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 22nd October, 1912.

Kaiapoi Reserve Bill. The Native Affairs Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed with the amendment as shown on the copy of the Bill attached hereto. 22nd October, 1912.
