No. 262 (1911). —Petition of Pikiwai Ngarara, of Te Wairoa. Petitioner prays for further inquiry into the title of Te Rua a Rakaiputara Block. I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee) this petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry. 25th October, 1911.

No. 264 (1911). —Petition of Katimiha te Puni and 12 Others, of Waiapu. Petitioners pray for a further hearing re investigation of title of Paraumu Block. I am directed to report that, as the petitioners have not exhausted their legal remedy, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 25th October, 1911.

Special Report. 1 have the honour to report that at the final meeting of the Native Affairs Committee, held yesterday morning, the following resolution was passed unanimously : — " That this Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the services rendered during the present session by the Interpreter, Mr. Barclay; that this resolution be reported to the House." * 25th October, 1911. ...
