No. 276, 1891, Sess. ll.—Petition of Hera Puna and 7 Others. Petitioners allege that the purchase of Te Kauri Block, Whitianga District, Mercury Bay, was not completed. They claim that a balance amounting to £333 is still due, and pray that that sum may be handed over to them. Petitioners pray that their land may be exempted from the provisions of the West Coast Settlements Eeserves Act, and that they may be allowed to deal with it in the same manner as the Europeans are doing.
