I do myself the honor to request that you will be pleased to cause the sum of £1,250, due from the Province of Hawke's Bay on account of interest on the permanent debt of the original Province of Wellington, to be paid to the Provincial Treasurer hero with as little delay as possible. The amount required to pay the half-yearly dividends, duo in London on the Ist January next, will be remitted by me by the mail leaving hero on the 11th instant. I have, &c, I. E.
