I do myself the honor to request that you will be pleased to cause the sum of £1,250, due from the Province of Hawke's Bay on account of interest on the permanent debt of the original Province of Wellington, to be paid to the Provincial Treasurer with as little delay as possible. The amount required to pay the half-yearly dividends due in London on the Ist July next, will be remitted by me by the mail leaving here on the 11th instant. I have the honor, by direction of the Colonial Treasurer, to instruct you to pay to the SubTreasurer, Napier, the sum of £1,250, in repayment of a corresponding amount authorised to be paid to the Provincial Treasurer, Wellington, on account of interest due from the Province of Hawke's Bay on the Wellington Provincial debt for the half year ending 30th June, 1863.
