Pinal Report I have the honour to report that the Native Affairs Committee consisting of sixteen members, has held twenty meetings during the session, with an average attendance at each meeting of eight members. Including ten petitions brought forward from last session, the Committee had before it seventytwo petitions ; fifty-one have been reported on to the House and twenty-one are held over. Five parliamentary papers were duly considered and reported on. The Native Purposes Bill, the Taranaki Maori Claims Settlement Bill, and the Ngaitahu Claim Settlement Bill were examined by the Committee and reported on. L. C.
