Ordered, " That the Akaroa Cocksfoot Seed Bill be referred to the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee."— r ' Ordered, *" That the Meat-export Control Amendment Bill be referred to the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee.''—(Mr. Polson.) Wednesday, the 12xh Day of October, 1932. Ordered '" That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all matters nertaining to agricultural and pastoral industries and stock which may be referred to it; with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee which may be appointed by the Legislative Council, and ro aeree to a ioint or separate report: the Committee to consist of Mr. Burnett, Mr. Coleman, Mr. Kyle, Mr. Langstone, Mr. Lye, Mr. W. W. Massey, Mr. Poison, Mr. Reid, Mr. Savage, and the Mover."— (Hon. Mr. Macmillan.) Thursday, the 13th Day op October, 1932. No. 414, Sess. 1, 1932.—Petition of J. B. Fletcher and 14 Others. Praying that immediate legislation be introduced requiring the Borough of Hastings to re-establish a municipal abattoir, or, alternatively, a Committee of Inquiry be set up. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 3rd November, 1932.

Dehorning of Cattle Bill. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee has carefully considered the above-mentioned Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with the amendments shown on the copy of the Bill attached hereto. 16th February, 1933.

Stock-remedies Bill. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee ha* carefully considered the above-mentioned Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with the amendments shown on the copy of the Bill hereto attached. 23rd February, 1933.

Oroharb-tax Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee has carefully considered the above-mentioned Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. 23rd February, 1933.

No. 189.—Petition of T. Neale and 87 Others, of Nelson. Praying for alteration of the basis of voting for representatives of fruitgrowers on the Fruit Control Board. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 23rd February, 1933.

No. 190-—Petition of T. Neale and 154 Others, of Nelson. Praying for alteration of the system of representation on the Fruit Control Board and the term of office of Government nominees on the Board. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 23rd February, 1933.

Poultry Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee, having carefully considered the above-mentioned Bill and heard evidence, recommends that it be not allowed to proceed. 2nd March, 1933.

Special Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee wishes to express its groat appreciation of the tact, courtesy, and ability with which the Chairman, Mr. Kyle, has presided over the business of the Committee during this session. It also desires that this resolution shall be recorded in the minutes of the Committee, and be reported to the House. 3rd March, 1933. D. S. Reid, Member of the Committee.

Special Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the efficient services rendered by the Clerk of the Committee, Mr. R. A. Pringle; and, further, desires that this resolution be recorded in the minutes of the Committee, and be reported to the House. 3rd March, 1933. H. S. S. Kyle, Chairman.

Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee, consisting of ten members, has held eleven meetings during the session, and that the average attendance of members has been seven. Six Bills were referred to the Committee for consideration, of which four have been reported on to the House. Four petitions were referred to the Committee, and. were considered, and reported on to the House. 3rd March, 1933. H. S. S. Kyle, Chairman.
