SERVICES PERFORMED BY MR. BLACKETT AS CONSULTING ENGINEER.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 16th July, 1890. Ordered, "That a return be laid before the House showing the total value of material which Mr. Blackett, Consulting Engineer, has inspected in England on behalf of the colony since his appointment; the number of letters he has written to the Government since his arrival in London; the amount paid for clerical assistance to him, both by way of salary for a clerk and otherwise; and the total amount of salaries, extras, and contingencies which have been paid by tlie colony since his appointment."—(Mr. Cadman.)
