Return to an Order op- the House of Representatives dated 27th August, 1889. Ordered, " That a return bo laid before this House showing the moneys paid in each of the preceding five financial years to consulting engineers in England on material inspected in respect of the public works of the colony, and also showing the value in each such year of the material so inspected."—(Mr. Hutchison.)
