SPRING EXHIBITION
WAIKATO SOCIETY OF ARTS The spring exhibition of the Waikato Society of Arts held in the Toorak Hall was officially opened on Monday evening by Mr A. C. Hipwell, i of Auckland, who was introduced by the president, Mr J. Treloar. An exhibition of high standard was presented by local artists and senior students, and following an instructive addres by Mr Hipwell. the guests , spent an interesting hour discussing j the work. Supper was later served by members of the society. I The guests were received by Mr I and Mrs Treloar. the latter wearing a | gown of black chiffon velvet and a I corsage spray of roses, j Officers of the society are as fol--1 lows:—Dr E. T.
