SUCCESSFUL DANCE

AIRMAN HONOURED A successful and enjoyable dance was held in the Town Hall, Ngaruawahia, recently. The hall and supper rooms were attractively decorated with streamers and bowls of Iceland poppies. Music was supplied by Bunny Shaw’s orchestra and Mr R. Knighton was master of ceremonies. A novelty waltz was won by Miss Stichbury and partner. | During the evening opportunity was taken by Mr H. D. Sampson to present Leading-Aircraftman ‘ Jay with a wallet. The Mayor, Mr R. Eyre, on behalf of the Borough Council, made the presentation of a suitably inscribed badge, and in a short speech extended to Leading-Aircraft-man Jay the good wishes of the council.
