APPLES IN SCHOOLS
DISTRIBUTION TOMORROW PLANS FOR HAMILTON GROUP An apple a day will be available to each child of the Hamilton district j schools, commencing tomorrow. I Twenty-one schools with about 4600 j children are included in the Hamilton group, and about 200 cases of apples will be distributed each day. The gilt of apples supplements and does not replace the milk-in-schools scheme. It is intended that the milk , should be taken in the morning and i the apple in the afternoon. The dis- j tribution on behalf of the Internal • Marketing Department will be made by the firm that distributes the milk. The scheme has the twofold objective of benefiting the children's health and disposing of the surplus of apples caused by the lack of shipping, space for expert. •
