WEDDING

HERBERT—BENNETT IVORY SATIN GOWN A pretty wedding was solemnised e St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Mor jrinsville, on Monday, March 3, whe: Nancy, second daughter of Mr an> Mrs Jtiuft'ora Bennett, Mangatepari was married to Private Donald Her bert, first son of Mr and Mrs A Herbert, Taradale, Napier. Fathe Downey officiated and Miss W. Muni was at the organ. The church wa artistically decorated with masses c pale pink Madonna lilies. The bride, who entered the churc with her father, looked charming ii a beautiful frock of ivory satin cu on classical slim-fitting lines. Th skirt featured a bustle back whicl fell in graceful folds to form a lon ; pearl-embroidered train. The bodic was allied to a fitting corsage bel and the sleeves tapered to points a the wrists. A soft embroidered tull veil was fastened to the head witl a coronet of orange blossoms and sh. carried a sheaf of pale pink Madonn; lilies. The bride was attended by her sis ter, Miss Margaret Bennett, who wori a dainty frock of ice blue stiffenec lace, and an embroidered circular vei of net held in place with a top-kno of flowers. Her bouquet was of pinl dahlias and blue delphiniums. The bridegroom was attended bj Mr T. Lusk as best man and Mr M Fahey and Private D. Johnston wen ushers. Alter the ceremony a reception wa: held in the grounds of the home o the bride’s parents. To receive hei guests Mrs Bennett wore a small irock of hand-painted floral sheer with toning accessories and a shouldei spray of rosebuds. She was assistec by the mother of the bridegroom Mrs A. Herbert, who wore a frock of navy triple sheer with an embroidered coatee. Her spray was oi white rosebuds. To travel the bride chose an ensemble of blue suede crepe and a hat to tone. They will make their home in Napier.
