MATAMATA SALE Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Mat amain sale held on Wednesday, as follows: —A full yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward. In the sheep section an entry of 3uu prime fat Two-t-Totn wethers from Messrs Heady and •Short met with keen competition and sold readily at i’i -is fid and £1 4s yd. A drain of extra good shorn white raced Jambs oil account or Mr Gordon Woods, Rotorua, sold under keen competition at prices in advance or recent sales. The wether lambs realised 10s and 1 is respectively, while the owe lambs were knocked down at l-ss 7d. Prices lor fat and Doner ca'uUe remained firm at lale rate«s. Sheep: Prime rat two-tooth wethers. £l is od to £l Is yd; lighter, ditto, £1 3s Od to £1 is; prime woolly fat lambs, £1 fis; rat shorn lambs, £1 2s; prime fat butterlat two-tooth sheep, £1 3s 9d; good quality white lace ewe lambs, Is 6 7d; top shorn white faced wether lambs, 16s; medium ditto, 12s 0d to 14S; small ditto, 1 os 3d to its Od; small black faced lambs, 8s 3d to 105 9d; aged ewes, 8s Id to lus. Cattle: Medium fat Polled Angus cows and heifers, £7 1 US; heavy fat Jersey cows, £3 13s to £0 is; lighter ditto, £5 to £5 12s 0d; heavy boners, £3 18s to £i 166; medium, £2 12s to £3 15s; potter bulls, £7 12s Od to £8 12s 0d; Jersey heifer calves, £3 18S. Pigs: A full yarding or rat pigs came forward with a medium yarding or stores. Fat pigs sold firm oil a par with late rates. Store pigs were not Wanted and prices were extremely low*. SALE AT ARIA i Newton King Lid . report that at their Aria rattle sale and supplementary sheep fair held on Monday sunm 850 head of ! station cattle together with some 4500 ' shrep were yarded and met with strong competition from a large bench or buyers, a total clearance being effected under the hammer.
