FRIENDLY SOCIETIES

1.0.0. F. LODGE Congeniality and goodfellowship marked a recent gathering when members of the 1.0.0. F. Hamilton Lodge were the guests of Court Concord A.O.F. Hamilton at a social evening. The loyal toast was followed by musijal items which were enjoyed by all present and the toast of “Friendly Societies” was honoured with the old-time sincerity which was appreciated to the full by the many loyal members present. Duo honour was paid too, to those many members of friendly societies who are serving the Empire, in the toast “Members with the Forces” and the response was in the capable hands of Bro. Webster, 1.0.0. F., who is now attached to the Air Force. Toasts of “The Visitors” and “The Artists” were honoured and the helpful exchange of “lodge chat” did much to make the meeting an educational as well as a social success. Many items of interest in the world of friendly societies formed the subjects of interesting discussions. During the evening a bowling tournament was held with the honours in favour of the 1.0.0. F.
