WOMEN UNITE
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER Hamilton women joined in the women’s world day of prayer on Friday, Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists and members of the Church of Christ, and Salvation Army, combining at the Baptist Hall. The morning session was presided over by Mr* Bartlett, of the Salvation Army, and the atternoon session by Airs Eraser, of St. Andrew’s. The subject was the petition “Thy Kingdom Come,” and on this theme addresses of a very high spiritual order were given by Mrs French, of First Church, Mrs Pearson, of Church of Christ, and Airs Gatman, of St. John’s. Airs Reay, of the Hamilton Baptists, gave a very fine vocal rendering of the Lord’s Prayer. Prayer was offered for the incoming oi the Kingdom of Righteousness and for a peace based on the principles of Christianity. The gathering was well attended, and at its close the opinion was expressed that such prayer fellowship, held more frequently, would be of mutual help in these abnormally restless days. An offering for relief of refugees in occupied areas was made.
