OFFICIAL OPENING
WHITIORA CROQUET CLUB The Whitiora Croquet Club was officially opened recently. The president, Mrs Carrick Nisbet, welcomed the guests, and before calling on Mrs J. N. Irvine to play the first ball, asked those oresent to stand in silence as a tribute to the memory of the late Mrs L. Hodgkinson. The competition winners were as follows: —Progressive A, Miss I. Jones; progressive B, Mrs Earl; pegging out A, Mrs Wright; pegging out B, Mrs J. R. Fow; ring target A, Mrs Bullock; ring target B, Mrs R. Street.
