CONCERT PARTY

A concert party, arranged by Mrs A. McLachlan through the Women’s Patriotic Committee, was taken to Hopu Hopu military camp on Wednesday. The programme was enthusiastically received, all items being much enjoyed. The contributing artists were as follows: —Instrumental items, Mrs A. McLachlan, Misses Yvonne and Jean McLachlan and Mr Donald Tarver; songs, Misses Jean Owens and Yvonne McLachlan: elocution and humour, Miss Reta Anderson and Mr H. Wood; dancing, Miss Jean McLachlan; illuminated drum stick display, Mr Moss. The party were afterwards the guests of Colonel Mawson and the officers to a delicious supper and a pleasant social hour was spent.
