SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION
OPENING OF HALL A very successful dance to celebrate the opening of the new Wardville Hall was recently held under the auspices of the Wardville Hall committee. There was a large attendance, all of the surrounding districts being well represented. The hall, which was officially opened by Mr W. S. Goosman, M.P. for Waikato, had been artistically decorated by Walton ladies. During the evening, Mr G. H. Stark, on behalf of the hall |jciety, extended a hearty welcome to those present. Items were given by Miss Vera Hawes, Mrs A. Schaare and Mr M. Hunt. Mr F. C. Kennedy, chairman of the Piako County Council, gave a humorous talk on the early days of Wardville.
