PERFORMERS’ CLUB

GENTLEMEN’S NIGHT The Hamilton Performers’ Club had one of its most successful nights in Mr G. Kingston’s studio on Saturday when a “Gentlemen’s Night” was held. An excellent programme was presented and a feature of the evening was the supper of savaloys and potatoes baked in their jackets. Mr W. Whitehead played music for dancing and also played the accompaniments. The following artists contributed to the programme:—Humour, Mr D. Reid; sketch, “Bar Door,” Messrs W. Whitehead, B. Ross, R. Pedrotti. L. Dreadon; vocal solos, Mr V. McLachlan; radio tap, Mr B. Ross; tap dancing solos, Mr G. Kingston; Sketch, “The Orange Peel,” produced by Mr R. Pedrotti and played by the following, Messrs B. Ross, E. Etheridge, P. Harvidge, C. Powell, D. Reid, W. Whitehead, G. Garvey, L. Dreaden. Among those present were:—Mesdames W. Whitehead, A. Cope, H. D. Curling, R. Pedrotti, E. Pickering. E. Etheridge. Misses Violet Monfries, L. Sturgeon, N. King, Dorothy Pickering. Leonie Swarbrick, Patty Blake, Val Hall, M.
