POOR RECEPTION
SHOP HOURS CIRCULAR (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WAIHI, Saturday Very strong exception to a circular letter from Mr C. A. Wilkinson, M.P., regarding the proposed amendments to the Shops’ and Offices’ Act was taken at a meeting of the Waihi Borough Council, which considered the matter was one for Parliament to decide and one in which individual members should not attempt to enlist the sympathy of local bodies. The letter was received.
