HIGHER RANK

BATTERY COMMANDER OTHER OFFICERS PROMOTED The temporary rank of Major has been granted to Captain F. M. Yendell, of Hamilton, Commanding Officer of the 7th Medium Battery, New Zealand Artillery, according to a Gazette notice. The unit is at present in camp at the Claudelands showgrounds undergoing a course of intensive training. It is expected that it will move to the Waiouru camp before the end of October.

Other officers of the 7th Medium Battery, Second Lieutenants F. G. Lintott, J. G. McClennan and J. H. Lawton, have been granted the temporary rank of lieutenant.
