The Hon. A. Hamilton, member of the War Cabinet, attended the funeral in Waipawa yesterday afternoon of Mr A. E. Jull.
Mr David Ewen, of Wellington, district governor of Rotary in New Zealand, is visiting Rotorua.
Messrs E. M. Edkins and J. G. Ritchie, retiring directors of the Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company, Limited, were re-elected unopposed at the annual meeting of the company today.
Messrs J. A. P. Rogers, R. Nelson, G. Spencer (Auckland), R. B. Chadwick (Rotorua), L. K. Cooper, E. Henderson, L. A. Morris (Masterton), F. S. Simcox (Otaki), and J. P. Sharp (Wellington) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
Mr Keith Officer, senior secretary to the Australian Legation at Washington, arrived at Auckland by the Honolulu Clipper yesterday. He will leave for Sydney by flying-boat tomorrow, and will later continue to Tokio.
Mr Victor J. Jurgens, a March of Time camera-man, reached Auckland by the Honolulu Clipper yesterday on his way to Australia. He has equipment for making separate documentary films in both New Zealand and Australia, depicting particularly the war effort of the two countries. The New Zealand picture will be made in about two months’ time.
