NOVEL DISPLAY

JUDGED BY PUBLIC Next week the public will have an opportunity of viewing a unique table setting display which, through the courtesy of the management, will be held in the store of Messrs H. and J. Court Limited. This competition is being sponsored by the Y.W.C.A. of Hamilton and a total of 17 tables has been entered by various women’s organisations. Indications are that it will be a most novel and interesting display, as many and varied are the entries which include such themes as “An Airman’s Table,” a “Silver Wedding Table” and § a “Picnic Table.” An added interest for the general public is that the tables will be judged by public vote. The display (to which the public are cordially invited) will be officially opened by Mrs D. Mclntosh, president of the National Council of Women, on Tuesday, October 1, at 2.30 p.m.
