Copyright) NEW YORK, Sept. 22 According to a report from River Pine, California, the police have taken into custody a man and a child, the latter identified as the kid- j napped boy, Mark de Tristan. Three River Pine residents seized ; the man and the child in the Sierra j foothills, six miles from River Pine, and bound the kidnapper until the police arrived. It is officially announced that the ; child is safe. The kidnapper has confessed to the crime. He has been identified as Wilhelm Jakos Muhlenbroich, a German alien, who entered the United States via Vancouver in 1935.
