OBITUARY

MRS H. RHODES The death has occurred at the age of 70, after a long period of failing health, of a well-known Paterangi resident, Mrs Jessie Rhodes, wife of Mr Harry Rhodes. Mrs Rhodes was the eldest daughter of the Hon. and Mrs John Fisher, pioneers of the Cambridge district. Following their marriage 42 years ago Mr and Mrs Rhodes took up residence at Paterangi. Besides being keenly interested in the affairs of the Presbyterian Church, Mrs Rhodes was secretary to the Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union for 25 years, and was interested in the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Mrs Rhodes is survived by her husband and two children, Mr S, Rhodes and Miss N. Rhodes, of Paterangi.
