HARRIER CLUB

PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES A highly successful dinner and social to mark the conclusion of the season of the Christian Youth Movement Harrier Club and to present the championship cups was held in the Methodist Church parlour on Saturday night, when there were 50 harriers and guests present. The dinner arrangements were in the hands of an energetic ladies’ committee, who had decorated the hall with the club’s colours, gold and blue, and the tables looked gay with daffodils and grape hyacinths. Items rendered during the evening were as follows: —Songs, Miss D. Liddy and Mr W. B. L. Williams; pianoforte solos, Messrs D. Arcus and H. Cook; recitation, Mr H. Primrose; magic, Mr S. Ashworth. Among those present were:—Mesdames C. A. Gowanlock, R. L. Brunton, W. B. L. Williams. Misses Wynne Thomas, Eileen Gowanlock, Jessica Tinsley, Pris. Sanson, Gwyn Jenkins, Rae Robertson, Enid Gillman, Des. Liddy, Elsa Gilbert, Dawn Dobb, Peg. Adams, Doris Hamilton, Ida Martin and A. Thomas.
