FIRST ANNUAL BALL
ST. JOHN AMBULANCE DIVISION The officers and members of the Hamilton and Frankton St. John Ambulance Divisions combined last night to hold their first annual ball in the Frankton Town Hall, which was taxed to its utmost capacity to accommodate the very large attendance. Visitors were present from all the surrounding districts and a very festive spirit prevailed throughout the function, which was most successful in every way. Excellent music was supplied by Clayton’s orchestra, and the introduction of many novelty dances added to the gaiety of the evening. A delicious buffet supper was served, the tables being gay with spring flowers. The committee were as follows: —Messrs A. H. Oldridge, W. R. Bottomley, W. Gibson. R. W. McDonagh, G. V. T. Friend. M. C. Rogers, C. A. Whiting and R. D. Quinn. The duties of masters of ceremonies were capably carried out by Messrs G. V. T. Friend and M. C. Rogers.
