AEROPLANE FUND
FURTHER DONATIONS RECEIVED TOTAL OF OVER £2908 The following additional donations to the Mayor of Hamilton’s fund for the provision of a fighter aeroplane for Great Britain bring the total to £2908 17s Id:—
TE AROHA GIVES £157 9s (Special to Times) TE AROHA, Tuesday A gratifying response has been made by the Te Aroha people to the appeal for funds to provide fighter planes for Britain. The subscription list closed on Saturday with a total of £157 9s. WESTLAND CONTRIBUTION (By Telegraph.—Press Association) HOKITIKA, Wednesday The Westland County Council decided as a mark of appreciation of the New Zealand airmen’s part in the defence of Britain to contribute £250 to the New Zealand Aeroplane Fund.
