McNEIL BEATS RIGGS NEW YORK, Sept. 9 In one of the most stirring finishes in the history of the event, D. McNeil defeated R. L. Riggs in the singles championship of America, 4—6. 6—B, 6—3, 6—3. 7—5. Miss A. Marble defeated Miss H. Jacobs in the ladies’ final. 6—2. 6—3, to wm her third consecutive national championship.
