CONDITIONS IN RUMANIA RELIGIOUS BODIES BANNED ANTLSEMITIC MEASURES (United Press Asn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, Sept. 10 The new Rumanian Prime Minister, General Antonescu, is reported to have issued a decree cancelling all Rumanian credits held in Transylvania and reopened all political trials over the past eight years. The activities of the judges who presided over the trials are to be investigated. The German news agency states that several religious denominations are to be banned in Rumania and that there is to be a tightening up of anti-Semitic measures. The Rumanian Government is reported to have ordered the release of all persons placed in concentration camps in the past few weeks on charges of spreading false rumours. King Michael and General Antonescu yesterday attended a service to commemorate the young King’s accession to the Throne. Services were held in all churches.
Ex-King Carol has been attacked by the Russian newspaper Pravda, which accuses him of being responsible for frontier incidents.
