SPRINGDALE FUNCTION
PATRIOTIC FUNDS A pleasant evening was spent in the Springdale Hall recently, the occasion being a card and dance evening held in aid of patriotic funds. Music for dancing was provided by the Waitoa orchestra, and extras were played by Messrs A. Mathis, W. Hose, and D. Smith. The winners of the five hundred card tournament were Mrs H. Bridgeman and Mr O. Duss. A novelty dance was won by Miss J. White and Mr B. Matthews. Messrs F. Steiner and W. Hose acted as masters of ceremonies.
