NOT READY IN TIME TEMPORARY TRAINING CENTRES WAIKATO UNITS AFFECTED (By Telegraph.—Press AssociationAUCKLAND, Thursday Owing to the fact that the Waiouru camp will not be available on the prescribed date, October 1, provision is being made by the northern military headquarters for camps in various northern centres, including Rotorua, Whangarei and Hamilton. The arrangement of sites will be completed next week. The men will be in camp not less than a month, but until Waiouru is ready. W aikato units which were to encamp at Waiouru on October 1 were headquarters and B troop of the 7th Medium Battery, N.Z.A., and the Ist Battalion, 16th Waikato Regiment. The Battery is at present in camp at the Claudelands Showgrounds. Officers and n.c.o.’s of the Ist Battalion, Waikato Regiment, are undergoing a two months’ course at Narrow Neck, Auckland. WARNING NOTICES FOURTH REINFORCEMENTS (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday Men accepted for service with the Fourth Reinforcements for the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force will today receive warning notices that they will be required to proceed to camp next week. These notices were sent out yesterday, and will be followed by others giving details of the units to which the men have been posted, the camp to which they will proceed, and the time of departure of the steamer or special train, as the case may be, and where they are to parade. The concentration takes place on Wednesday and Thursday of next week at Papakura, Trentham and Burnham.
