WAIKATO TROOPS

SERVING OVERSEAS CABLEGRAM FROM RESERVISTS Resulting from a suggestion made at the first anniversary celebrations of the Hamilton Company of the National Military Reserve last night by Lieutenant E. H. Tyler, a cablegram has been despatched from the company to the Waikato troops of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force serving overseas. The suggestion was made when the toast to the new “Diggers” was proposed. The cablegram is intended to indicate to the Waikato soldiers that the men of the “old brigade” have not forgotten them. It wished them well, few casualties, and a speedy return to their homes.
