MINE DISPUTE

McDonald still idle (Special to Times) HUNTLY, Wednesday No further developments have taken place in the McDonald Mine dispute and the men are still idle. The decision to cease work, affecting 200 miners, was made following a meeting yesterday morning, when, it is stated, a dispute regarding payment for “wet time” was discussed. The secretary of the Northern Miners’ Union, Mr T. Hall, said today that the matter had not been referred to him and no immediate action could be taken.
